About the tournament
Cachar District Chess Association ( CDCA) is a registered (under the Societies Registration Act: XXI of 1860 affiliated body of All Assam Chess Association. It was formed in the late 1993s and also affiliated with the All India Chess Federation and officially accredited by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs, (FIDE).
After a gap of four years .....
After a gap of 4 years Cachar District Chess Association (CDCA) is organizing an international FIDE rated tournament in Silchar. Last time it was a grand success and first time in the history of Silchar Chess that an International Chess Event was organized. Presently Shri Bibendu Das and Shri Nirmalya Chakraborty are the President and Secretary of the Association respectively.
